A place to vent
I don't know why it is only now occuring to me to tell you about a place to join colleagues in solo or small firms to vent, exchange info, stand around the watercooler and review the day, or whatever you need to do to let off steam....
But there is currently a conversation underway about the benefits of SOLOSEZ, the ABA listserve.
Dick Howland describes it nicely:
It is easy to joint the list. SOLOSEZ is a service of the American Bar Association, General Practice, Solo and Small Firm Section http://www.abanet.org/genpractice

I suggest that the most significant benefits are that solo attorneys have a place to vent their frustrations, seek and get advice, seek and get creative practice advice, comfort in bad times, cheers in good ones, a source of continuing legal education for the price of admission ( $0.00) and worth every penny. It is also a place to philosophize about the deeper issues within the practice of law which we so often gloss over or ignore altogether.
